The North Pocono School District Board of Education on Sept. 10 approved a series of routine motions and business items, voting unanimously on curriculum, appointments, financial disbursements and personnel matters.
The board approved the meeting agenda and an agenda revision, accepted minutes from the Aug. 13, 2025 meeting, and adopted the district's 2025 curriculum. The board also appointed three student representatives for the 2025-26 school year and approved multiple personnel matters including leaves, resignations, staff appointments and extracurricular appointments.
Financial items approved included authorizing the business office to obtain a minimum of three quotes for standby snow plowing for the 2025-26 school year, authorizing advertisement for competitive bids for heating fuel, opening Friends of Animals and Creative Writing club accounts in the high school activity account, approval of financial reports and approval of payment of general fund bills and capital project fund disbursements.
The board also approved student placements listed in the agenda packet, including an athletic intern placement: Isabella Suma from Marywood University to be assigned to athletic director Nick Swaha for 250 hours.
All recorded motions on the agenda passed by recorded tallies of 8-0 unless otherwise noted in the meeting record.
