Haverford Township board approves routine financial and calendar actions; disburses $4.99 million

Haverford Township — The School District of Haverford Township Board of School Directors approved a series of routine finance, human-resources and calendar motions during its regular Sept. 18 meeting.
Key actions approved included a transfer of $55,000 from the general fund contingency to a specified budgetary reserve, and board approval of disbursements totaling $4,985,530.49. The board also approved human-resources appointments and out-of-district educational service contracts as presented on the agenda.
On instructional programs, the board approved a reading-skills and tutoring program provided by the Institute of Reading Development for the 2025–26 school year at Manoa Elementary at a cost of $268 per enrolled student.
