- Consent agenda approved (unanimous): - Accept PACT grant from the Governor—s Office of Crime Control and Prevention, $66,719, to the State's Attorney—s Office for cloud storage for body-camera footage, case management improvements and an app to increase office efficiency (listed on the agenda as Item A). - Appoint Shay Bonarigo and Jessica Colwell to the Allegany County Commission for Women (three-year terms expiring 06/30/2028). - Appoint Molly Nelson McCord (to fill Gary Leasure—s vacancy, term expiring 06/30/2028), Jack Coburn (to fill Dr. Artie Travis—s vacancy, term expiring 06/30/2028) and Katie Weir (to fill Sue Rudd—s vacancy, term expiring 06/30/2030) to the Allegany County Library Board of Trustees. - Appoint Ken Stevens to the Allegany County Police Accountability Board (three-year term expiring 09/01/2028). - Reappoint David White to the Potomac Highlands Airport Authority for a three-year term (term expiring 06/30/2028). - Adopt Resolution 205-12, a comprehensive revision of the county vehicle policy for employees.
- Emergency procurements ratified (open session): The board ratified the seventh round of emergency procurements totaling approximately $692,000 for flood response and mitigation (see separate article on emergency procurements). County staff said cumulative emergency spending is now just under $3,000,000.
- Executive session actions (closed session): The county recorded unanimous approvals in executive session to participate in three opioid-related settlements (Purdue Pharmaceuticals, Sackler family, group of eight manufacturers). Those approvals are contingent on the Maryland Attorney General—s confirmation of a 70/30 allocation of settlement proceeds (see separate article on settlements).
