Bannock County commissioners approved several routine items and resolutions by voice vote at their Sept. 23 meeting.
The board authorized signing opioid settlement agreements that will send funds to the county for use within approved categories; county staff said existing uses include training, equipment for District 6 and payments to problem-solving programs. Christie Plaza, the county comptroller, noted these agreements “send us money and we'll spend it accordingly.” Commissioners requested the approved uses schedule (Schedule A) be redistributed for review and follow-up discussion.
The board approved four listed resolutions: 2025-61, awarding a firearm to a retired sheriff deputy; 2025-62, approving tax cancellation requests; 2025-63, authorizing destruction of records; and 2025-64, authorizing disposal of surplus property assets. Staff presented the resolutions as a block and the board approved them by voice vote.
Finally, the board approved the consent agenda — which included manual checks, alcohol licenses, certificates of residency, salary approval forms and minutes — by voice vote.

Ending: County staff will finalize execution of agreements, process the opioid funds in accordance with Schedule A and implement the resolutions and consent agenda items.
