Ada County EMS recognizes 20-year veteran Jeremiah Wickham; approves training agreement and personnel actions

The Ada County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) District recognized paramedic Jeremiah Wickham for 20 years of service and approved an EMS training agreement and personnel actions at its Sept. 23 meeting.
Wickham, who the board and EMS leadership praised for leadership and peer support work, thanked the department and commissioners and said he feels supported by colleagues. "Through my time here, 20 years, I've always felt supported by my department as well as the commissioners," Wickham said. "I got two kids in college, and they're going to BSU. And I'm ready to do what I need to do as a family."
The EMS board approved EMS agreement number 15058-4-25, a renewal for training and quality-improvement services listed on the agenda, by motion and voice vote. The record shows the board authorized the chair to sign the agreement and to execute the related documents.
The EMS board also approved personnel actions listed on the agenda, including grade-step progressions, and authorized payment of the EMS claims journal dated Sept. 19, 2025. EMS staff reported that a hiring academy for new recruits begins next week and that vehicle livery and painting work is progressing for newly acquired apparatus.
The district's leaders said they are planning internal celebrations to mark the department's 50th anniversary and continuing recruitment and training to staff upcoming operations. Motions on EMS items were carried by voice vote and recorded as "aye."
