Public works staff described the repair as removal and replacement of roughly 225 square yards of concrete roadway and about 125 linear feet of curb adjacent to a nearby industrial property. Staff said the work will take place during a planned road closure associated with railroad panel removal so both closures can be coordinated.
Councilmembers asked where the concrete transitions to asphalt; staff said the switch is at the Nickel Plate Trail, with concrete east toward the interstate and asphalt to the west. The council approved the repair by voice vote.
