The Town of Speedway Redevelopment Commission on Sept. 22 approved a set of routine steps aimed at preparing two redevelopment parcels for sale or development, authorized staff to hire a broker, accepted updated appraisals and approved routine expenditures, including claims totaling $108,986.64.
Those actions matter because the survey, appraisals and broker authority are necessary preparatory steps before the commission can issue a request for proposals (RFP) or market property in Speedway. Commission members said the items are intended to put the commission in a position to proceed quickly when development interest arises.
