CFO Josh Bostick and board staff explained the purchase is funded through the state allotment for instructional materials and technology. Staff said purchases under that allotment are made through approved vendors and that this procurement will be processed through a cooperative purchasing agreement.
Trustees asked about procurement and budget routing; staff confirmed that, once the board approves, the district will create a purchase order from the Fund 410 budget and submit required documents to the Texas Education Agency where applicable. The motion was offered by Secretary Cesar Montelongo and seconded by Trustee Thompson.
