City Manager (name not specified) asked for background; the chief said other vendors remain available, and the city also purchases from Boundtree, Sourcewell, Amazon and retail suppliers such as Home Depot when needed. The staff presentation framed the BSO purchase as one procurement option that supplements other sourcing methods. The resolution would permit the city to continue participating in the countywide purchasing arrangement; the commission will consider formal approval at its upcoming meeting.
No vote occurred at the staff agenda review workshop. The resolution is scheduled for the commission meeting on Wednesday.
