Board begins superintendent-evaluation process, schedules October committee meeting retreat

Alexander said he completed a required self-evaluation and that board members should receive the NASB evaluation form and instructions via their district email accounts. He described the NASB process: the association tallies responses, returns a summary to the superintendent and the board addresses the evaluation in an open-session board meeting.
Alexander also described plans to hold an October committee-of-the-whole meeting with a working supper starting about 5:30 p.m. "Now that our other new board members have been on it for approximately 6 to 7 months, kinda getting their feet wet, Now is a good time to do that," he said. Board members said the sessions attended at a recent area membership meeting provided useful examples and requested NASB assistance in drafting discussion questions.
No formal board action was taken; the item was informational and staff were asked to circulate the NASB evaluation materials and finalize the October meeting logistics.
