A county commissioner introduced George and noted he had been on the job about four weeks; George told the council he had roughly 30 years of criminal-justice experience in Wayne County and that his first weeks have included onboarding meetings with staff, sheriffs, prosecutors, public defenders and community partners. "It's been a busy first few weeks," George said.
George said he would appear later on the meeting agenda for a scheduled item. The commissioners and council welcomed him and thanked staff involved in his onboarding.
