Executive committee grants extension for Belts Commercial Subdivision final plat

The Area Plan Commission executive committee unanimously approved Sept. 3 a request to extend the final subdivision approval for Belts Commercial Subdivision (S-2740), located at the corner of Skyler Drive and Sagamore Parkway, to allow the petitioner additional time to complete outstanding conditions related to undeveloped portions on the north side of the drive.
Staff said three lots have already been final platted and that a portion of the property on the north side of the drive had not yet been platted, which is the reason the petitioner requested an extension. Staff told the committee that the original nine conditions of approval remain valid for the subdivision and that staff recommended approval of the extension.
Tim Balenci, representing the petitioner for Tibur Design, said he agreed with staff's comments and requested approval. The committee recorded a unanimous yellow ballot in favor of the extension.
What this means
The extension preserves the current subdivision approval and conditions so that the petitioner can finish required work and return with a final plat for the unplatted portions. Once conditions are satisfied and the final plat is recorded, the lots will be eligible for subsequent permitting and development.
