Planning commission recommends parcel split at 607 Thirtieth Street SE for sanitary lift station project

The Waverly Planning and Zoning Commission on Sept. 4 recommended approval of a plat survey creating parcel AB from 607 Thirtieth Street Southeast. City staff said the separation will allow the city to move forward with purchasing property needed for an Eastgate sanitary sewer lift station replacement and related access and utility easements.
Kate Payne told the commission that council previously approved an engineering proposal for the lift station replacement and that a temporary construction easement and a utility and access easement would be secured before construction. A motion recommending approval of the plat survey was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Staff indicated the plat and option agreement have been coordinated with property owners and that the plat will be forwarded to the city council for final action.
