Iredell County schedules public hearing Oct. 21 on economic incentives for 'Project Portia'

The motion was approved by the board.
The board did not discuss incentive details in open session during the meeting and no terms were disclosed at that time. County staff said the matter had been discussed in closed session under the cited statute; the public hearing will be the next opportunity for open discussion and public comment on any proposed incentives.
The board's action sets the hearing date but does not approve incentives or final terms; any incentive agreement would require additional board action after public notice and the hearing.
