The city held the event at the Ponderosa and screened attendees for interest areas such as child watch, aquatics, front desk and programming. Staff said the event focused on part-time roles — fitness positions were handled through a separate audition process — and that they anticipate hiring roughly 225 part-time employees across the facility’s divisions.
Recreation staff credited organizer Nick Porter and his team for a well-run event and said they will continue the hiring process, with additional events planned if needed. Council members in attendance praised the organization of the fair and encouraged staff to continue outreach to candidates.
