The Scottsburg Common Council on Sept. 8 adopted Ordinance 2025-15 to create an ordinance-violation fund intended to cover administrative expenses, staffing, training, technology and public outreach for code-enforcement activities, and advanced first readings of the city's proposed 2026 budget and a wages-and-salaries ordinance that would provide a 2% across-the-board raise for employees. Council members also approved a one-day closure of Bond Street for the Fall Fun Fest on Oct. 11 and moved forward on a separate stormwater-related ordinance.
