On public works, the board approved two change orders to the general contract for the PTAS treatment at Well Number 1, Phase 2, both submitted by WHM Plumbing and Heating. Change order No. 5, for $36,414.41, addresses relocation of a proposed drainage pipe after crews discovered a larger-than-expected gas main that reduced clearance at a proposed manhole location. Change order No. 6, for $13,181.65, reroutes a storm drainage pipe to avoid unforeseen utility conflicts encountered during installation. Minutes state both change orders are charged to bid item number 5 and that neither alters the overall contract amount. The motions to authorize the change orders were approved by voice vote.
The board also authorized installation of a reserved handicap parking space serving 116 Roslyn Road. Because the house sits on a corner, the reserved space will be installed on the adjacent Plymouth Avenue. Trustee Solowski moved the designation; Trustee Casado seconded and the board approved it.
