Staff said the LED fixtures reduce the need for elevated annual maintenance because the lighting controls and most components are accessible at ground level and the LED modules are designed for long service life.
Maintenance staff credited county recreation staff and vendors with rapid procurement and installation and noted that crews worked extended hours to meet the athletic season schedule; no cancellations of scheduled high‑school games were reported after the installations.
