Board approves travel, change orders, grant and personnel; consent agenda adopted

FREMONT COUNTY, Wyo. — At its regular meeting, the Fremont County School District #25 Board of Trustees approved multiple administrative recommendations, including out-of-state student travel, project change orders, a preschool grant acceptance and personnel actions.
The board approved the consent agenda, which included approving minutes from the Sept. 9, 2025 board meeting, payment of bills (including late pays and preauthorization of payroll, insurance and utilities), and a directive to comprehensively review currently district-sanctioned clubs and any newly submitted club proposals prior to finalizing the 2026–27 school-year budget.
Travel: Trustees approved a motion to allow Riverton High School FCCLA students to travel to Washington, D.C., in November 2025 for the FCCLA Capital Leadership Conference, "as per policy." The motion passed with no recorded opposition.
Change orders: The board approved two change orders for the Riverton High School Auditorium project submitted through the State Construction Department to Top Office Products Inc. of Sheridan. Both change orders cover furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) and total $34,910; the board noted additional wish-list FF&E items remain to be prioritized from district funds.
Grants and contracts: The board accepted a Fremont County BOCES preschool grant in the amount of $10,000 for the 2025–26 school year. The trustees also voted to offer a contract to Kelly Gard as an assistant cheer coach at Riverton High School for the 2025–26 school year.
Personnel: The board recorded several staff resignations, transfers and hires as listed in the personnel report presented at the meeting; specific items included resignations and a set of new hires (bus aide, paras, maintenance custodians) and transfers to fill school needs. The meeting also included a personnel separation notice filed in executive session.
All motions listed above were adopted with no recorded opposition in the meeting record.
