Farmington High outlines career pathways plan; CNA and college-credit courses begin

Farmington High School leaders presented a new career pathways design that will sequence high school coursework toward employment, college credit and industry-recognized credentials.
Ryan Meyer, principal at Farmington High School, introduced Leah Bhatt, the district’s newly hired pathways coordinator, who told the board the plan is informed by the Bellwether blueprint for sustainable pathways and by local labor-market analysis. “Our job as educators is not to tell students what to do, but to guide them on their path and ultimately embrace the journey that they’ve chosen,” Bhatt said.
