Hampton EMS: response times improving; Celebration Villa personal‑care home to close Oct. 15

Hampton Township's EMS representative told council on Sept. 18 that response metrics are improving and that a new patient survey has started, while also reporting that Celebration Villa, a local personal‑care home, will close Oct. 15.

The EMS report showed 137 calls in August in Hampton — a decrease of 34 from the previous month — and year‑to‑date totals of 1,149 calls in the township. The representative said the service's out‑the‑door tracking for high‑priority calls shows few outliers and that the overall exceedance rate for the measured categories is about 1.8 percent. Station dispatch counts were provided: Hampton Station responded 134 times, Shaver Station 269 times and Hampton Post (Route 8 area) 39 times during the reporting period.

Staff described a patient‑satisfaction survey implemented a few weeks earlier that is being delivered to patient phone numbers; initial results show roughly 40 responses so far, but staff noted some contact‑number data quality issues that are being addressed. The survey will be used to provide feedback on service quality and follow up with respondents as appropriate.

In community health news, the EMS representative reported that Celebration Villa, a personal‑care home the township responds to periodically, is scheduled to close on Oct. 15; capacity was described as up to about 30 residents, though staff said the facility already had fewer residents and that the number was declining as residents relocate.
