The application read into the record described 233 linear feet of Class A1 rip rap and marsh shell, 170 feet of sill, 80 cubic yards of sand nourishment and 1,600 square feet of wetland plantings along the cove of Bingen Creek (tax map 29-57D; VMRC application 25-1770). County staff indicated they had no comment; the BMRC representative likewise had no comment. After no public opposition, a board member moved to approve the project as submitted, another member seconded, and the motion passed.
The project record indicates the board’s action applied only to those intertidal elements within its jurisdiction; other upland or non-jurisdictional components were handled outside this board’s purview.
