Commission Chairman Richard Lumsdale opened the meeting and staff summarized the packet of draft recommendations that the commission has reviewed since its retreat. A staff presentation and consultant update said the transportation chapter is being finalized and a full draft of the comp plan will be circulated for additional review in roughly a week.
“The forecast does assume growth for the high school,” Ryan, the consultant presenting the transportation update, told commissioners as he described peak‑hour volumes and traffic forecasts used in the plan. He said staff left some intersections “unfinished” so they can be reevaluated after completion of a planned loop road; Mountain View and approaches to the high school were named as intersections to reassess later.
