Dixon Park work advances; board reports donated dumpster, fence repairs and wasp control

Members said dugouts are scheduled to be installed and that a group of about 17 volunteers will help with a “day of caring” on Oct. 18 to pick up debris, paint bathrooms and backfill trenches where fencing was adjusted. The board also discussed a ground‑nesting wasp issue near the outfield fencing; volunteers and maintenance staff have sprayed and monitored affected areas, and no active nests were reported at Dixon since recent dirt work.
