The Mill Creek Township School District’s finance and operations committee approved a new 10‑year educational programming and facilities-use agreement with Asbury Woods Nature Center at a total of $130,500.
Staff said the district negotiated the new agreement a year early after a district employee who provided programming retired; the new contract preserves current services and district priority use, and it continues the district’s ability to use Brown’s Farm for cross‑country. The school’s finance presenter said the agreement saves the district approximately $94,450.66 compared with the prior contract.
“The services that are currently being offered by Asbury Woods Nature Center…are all gonna remain. We will continue to take priority,” Aaron O’Toole said. He confirmed the agreement carries a 3% annual escalator and a 10-year term.
The committee moved the item to the full board; the committee vote passed in committee and the policy will be included on the end-of-month board agenda for final approval.
