Erie Council adopts traffic and grant appropriations; takes first readings on SALDO and transfer limits

At its Sept. 17 meeting, the Erie City Council approved multiple ordinances and appropriations and advanced other measures on first reading.
Council members voted unanimously (7–0) to adopt an ordinance inserting stop signs at five intersections, following a motion sponsored by Council member Titus and seconded by Council member Flores. The ordinance is recorded as official file ordinance 67 20 25.
The council also approved two appropriations: official file ordinance 68 20 25, which appropriates $8,000 from unanticipated revenue awarded through the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission FFY 2023 Certified Local Government grant, sponsored by Council member Flores and seconded by Council member Nelson; and official file ordinance 69 20 25, which appropriates $300,000 for the Cocqua Boulevard bridge replacement project (funds appropriated in 2024 and received in 2025), sponsored by Council member Nelson and seconded by Council member Titus.
