Commission grants conditional plan approval for 848 Queens West Drive in Mahoning Township

The Carbon County Planning Commission voted to grant conditional plan approval for a subdivision at 848 Queens West Drive in Mahoning Township, subject to standard technical corrections and the addition of required certifications.

Planning staff reviewed the submission and listed required items for final plan submission: professional seals and signatures, a boundary-line adjustment note, recreation-area dedication references where applicable and compliance with Mahoning Township referral requirements. Staff recommended conditional approval pending those items.

A commissioner moved for conditional plan approval, a second was recorded, and the commission approved the motion by voice vote. The planning staff member noted that the plan should include the planning commission chairman and secretary signatures on the title block and that township referral notations be added.

Staff advised the applicant to provide the requested seals, signatures and referral language before final plan review and recording. The commission’s conditional approval allows the applicant to proceed with the revisions and return to the county for final sign-off once documentation is complete.
