What passed and what’s next
The two roll-call items were unanimous in favor. The hospital-financing resolution authorizes the County Hospital Development Authority to issue tax-exempt notes for a nonprofit hospital project; the county’s taxing power is not pledged to repay the notes. The property-listing ordinance requires an accessible public record of county-owned properties that may be for sale; the item will change county code language governing record maintenance.
Several measures were sent to committee: a separate financing resolution for Heritage Valley Health System (proposed bond issuance up to $95,000,000) was referred to the Committee on Economic Development and Job Creation.
