Board approves personnel matters and three hearing-examiner decisions in roll-call votes

The Board of Education of Baltimore County used roll-call votes to approve personnel matters, administrative appointments and actions resulting from a closed session at its Sept. 24 meeting.

Motions and roll-call votes recorded in open session included approval of personnel matters (resignations, leaves, educator licensure appointments) presented as Exhibit D1–D3. The motion to approve was moved by Board Member Humphrey and seconded by Dr. Savoy; the roll-call vote was recorded as affirmative for the members present and the motion carried.

Administrative appointments (Exhibit E1) were presented and approved by a motion from Humphrey, seconded by Savoy, with the roll-call vote recorded as affirmative for members present. The meeting included public introduction and formal approval of two administrative appointments: Mary Cunningham (appointed as a Title I research specialist in the Office of Research) and David Mamoni (appointed as specialist, special education public placement in the Department of Special Education).

The board also voted to approve three actions discussed in closed session that involved hearing-examiner cases. The board motioned and approved the actions on cases SDA26-001, HEA25-016 and HEA2057 (transcribed as "HEA 2057"); each motion was seconded and approved by roll-call vote, and members authorized the board secretary (Ms. Gover) to sign for members not physically present.

All recorded roll-call items during the evening were approved as presented; the meeting transcript records affirmative roll-call responses for board members present. The board did not amend or table those items during open session.
