Dorchester County board approves two liquor-license changes; discusses bulk permits and fire-company access

Dorchester County At a Dorchester County Alcohol Licensing Board meeting, members approved two licensing changes and spent the remainder of the session discussing possible administrative changes to event and volunteer-group licensing.

The board voted to permit a restaurant applicant identified in the record as Applicant Christopher to add a beer-and-wine to-go endorsement to the businesslicense. Christopher told the board, "To add our to our license, it's a a license to just sell beer and wine to go. Basically, we just started doing to go food owners at the restaurant. We commonly just be able to sell that wine or that beer to go with them." The board took the approval by voice vote.

The board also approved amendments to add two people to the Short Stop license and to transfer the license from A and M Store to Short Stop, contingent on the state comptrollerclearing outstanding items. A board member moved to approve the change "contingent upon its comptroller's release of all information," and the motion carried by voice vote. The board noted the comptroller has recently changed processes, which has delayed final approval in some cases.
