At the Sept. 29 meeting, representatives for the Darius Inn (Plat 6, Lot 119, Fire No. 62 Dodge Street) told the New Shoreham Historic District Commission they plan to begin previously approved window replacements on the third floor immediately after Thanksgiving and that separated windows will be reused on lower floors.
The applicants said they will replace a total of 11 windows across the building, reusing some third-floor windows on the second floor and installing like-for-like replacements where appropriate. Commissioners noted the prior approval and recorded the update; a motion to accept the timeline and proceed with the administrative permits carried by voice vote.
Staff indicated two recent building-permit submissions for in-kind window work were sent to commissioners for administrative review earlier in the month. The commission did not add additional conditions to the work beyond the previously approved specifications.
