Chase County commissioners approve routine warrants, payroll and personnel resolutions

The Chase County Commissioners approved routine financial and personnel items during their Sept. 30 meeting, voting unanimously on warrants, payroll, meeting minutes and a series of administrative resolutions and banking signatory updates.
The items approved included the claims/warrants for Sept. 30, payroll for Aug. 25–Sept. 24, and minutes from the Sept. 15 meeting. Commissioners also approved Resolution 2025-06 (a transfer involving KPERS/KP&F for police officers) and Resolution 2025-07 (authorizing optional group life insurance participation for police officers). The board designated Connie Pretzer as an authorized agent for certain county matters and approved updated online banking access and authorized signers at Citizens State Bank (including Bernice Albers) following the resignation of Treasurer L. Wilson.
Other approvals included purchase of a maintenance laptop for $1,045 to replace equipment no longer supporting required software, and renewal of membership in the National Association of Counties at $450. All of the recorded votes during the meeting were taken by voice vote with “aye” responses and were announced as carried.
