Commissioners enter executive session on Maynard Conference Center management agreement; return with no action

Commissioner Aaron Mays moved Sept. 25 that the Shawnee County Board of County Commissioners go into executive session for consultation with an attorney regarding the Maynard Conference Center management agreement; Commissioner Bill Rippon seconded the motion and the board voted 3–0 to go into closed session.
Mays said the board would take 25 minutes, beginning at 9:20 a.m., and return at 9:45 a.m. Commissioners Aaron Mays, Bill Rippon and Kevin Cook voted in favor; no commissioners opposed.
The board returned from the executive session and recorded that no action was taken. The meeting was then adjourned.
The motion to hold the executive session and the subsequent announcement that no action was taken were the only formal votes recorded on this item at the Sept. 25 work session.
