Brad Wright, identified as Bonneville's facilities manager, explained Bonneville's role and scope: "We take the power that... we generate from the hydro dams in the Northwest... and we have the high voltage energy lines that basically power the entire Northwest." He said the coast crews serve an area from Newport to Gold Beach and that keeping a local facility improves response times.
