Courthouse window work nearly complete; jail construction bids expected Oct. 21, county administrator says

Higgins said the drape vendor has been notified and is expected to hang drapes next week, pending scaffolding and final work; if schedules hold the court’s October committee meetings will be at the courthouse in Courtroom A. He said a post‑project punch‑list walk‑through was scheduled and that contractors will return to correct minor paint marks or scratches.
On the jail project, Higgins said Nabholz has worked with county staff and planned the bid opening for Oct. 21. If bids confirm the county’s estimates, a groundbreaking could follow in late October or November. ARP report items presented separately showed roughly $750,000 in jail‑related expenditures since the last report and ongoing engineering work on the Mayflower wastewater project.
