Commissioner Mann praises $85 million Tenaris expansion, notes continued retail development

Commissioner Mann told the Beaver County Board of Commissioners that Tenaris’ recent $85 million expansion at its local facility represents part of more than $150 million the company has invested in the county.
"They are the largest pipe manufacturer, steel pipe manufacturer, in the Commonwealth in in the region, and they do a great job there," Mann said, adding the new bagging operation uses state-of-the-art technology aimed at lowering emissions and securing long-term operations at the site.
Mann also noted small-retail development in the county, saying a Sheetz store is opening soon and that a Chipotle, a Starbucks and a Dairy Queen are planned for the same commercial complex. He described the additions as continued small-business and retail growth in Beaver County.
Mann made the remarks during the commissioners’ report portion of the meeting.
