Stephanie D'Arcy, operations superintendent for parks, reported the department accepted roughly $5,600 in quarterly donations (primarily from the Lazy 5 summer music concert series) and said Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful’s cleanup removed 95.2 tons of waste across 27 community sites, including county parks. Park rangers hosted three Skate Jam events this summer offering free skateboarding lessons and demos, and staff engaged with local schools for ranger and junior-ranger outreach.
