Eric Crump, director of Community Services, summarized background: following enabling legislation in 2017 that allows park districts in Nevada, the City of Reno in May approved a professional services agreement with Pros Consulting and Washoe County entered an interlocal funding agreement to contribute $100,000 toward the consultant contract. County, Reno and Sparks staff have met weekly and Pros Consulting has conducted site visits and stakeholder interviews.

Commissioner Miles Gertler and others expressed interest in participating and staff agreed to coordinate schedules. Tracy Kuczenski (spelling correction requested for minutes) asked that draft minutes be corrected to reflect Washoe County’s approved contribution under the interlocal agreement; Crump confirmed the Board of County Commissioners approved the interlocal funding agreement June 21, authorizing up to $100,000 in contribution.
