Tangipahoa Parish assessor reports 2025 total assessed value of $1.154 billion

Kevin Raeford, Tangipahoa Parish assessor, reported to the council on Sept. 22 that the parish's 2025 assessed value is $1,154,102,494.
"Proud to inform you guys of our 2025 value as $1,154,102,494," Raeford said. He described the figure as a "slow and steady increase" and said the assessor's office planned to submit the roll to the state tax commission and hoped to have the parish's roll approved at the commission's next meeting.
Raeford said he had met with the sheriff's office and that staff aimed to get tax bills out "as early as we can." The council did not take further action on the report during the meeting.
The assessor did not present a breakdown of value changes by property class at the meeting.
