Saline County planning commission amends bylaws to match state voting rules, moves regular hearing date

SALINE COUNTY, Sept. 23, 2025 — The Saline County Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously Tuesday to amend its bylaws to align the commission’s voting language with state statutes, remove a confusing voting procedures table from the bylaws and designate the fourth Tuesday of each month as the commission’s regular hearing date.

Commission staff presented the proposed amendments, saying the last bylaw revision occurred in 2014 and that the changes are intended to bring the bylaws into conformity with state law and the county zoning regulations.
