Gilliam County Court approved a road-use agreement permitting Weatherford Ranches LLC to install a waterline that will cross a county road near the substation and Tree Lane.
County staff said they inspected the route with the developer’s manager and described the crossing as limited in scope. The project will require the developer to address on-site obstacles, including existing fiber lines, and county staff said those issues will be the developer’s responsibility.
“It's not going to impact the county road at all,” a county official said. The court moved the item from the consent agenda to new business for additional discussion and then approved the agreement by voice vote.
The motion passed during the meeting. County staff did not provide a construction schedule at the meeting; they said coordination with utility owners is expected as part of implementation.
