Board members and speakers used the HR discussion to thank long‑serving coaches who are leaving after the current season, including Coach Bauer (head wrestling coach since roughly 2016) and Chris Walton (assistant coach active since at least 2005). A board member described the coaches’ long service and their role in recruiting students and building the program, including starting a girls wrestling program.
During the HR item discussion a board member clarified that the coaches’ resignations were effective retroactively and that the coaches are expected to complete the current season; the positions will be vacant for upcoming seasons. The board then voted to approve the personnel report by roll call.
