COG staff brief members on CIB capital-asset inventory and Utah project portal; webinar planned

Staff told Duchesne County COG members that municipalities and special service districts must complete an updated Capital Asset Self Inventory (CASI) form required by the Community Impact Board and submit projects via the Utah project portal for CIB or other outside funding.
Speaker 4 (administrator) said staff have visited or held Zoom meetings with most special service districts and municipalities to walk through the updated CASI form and the Utah project portal. “We've been around to, if we haven't visited, personally, we've had, Zoom meetings with all of the special service districts and municipalities for your staff about the new and updated CASI or capital asset self inventory requirement,” Speaker 4 said.
Staff reported that of roughly 20 entities in Duchesne County, only two or three special service districts had not yet been reached for training; staff plan an early-January webinar on the Utah project portal so all entities can learn to upload projects and become eligible for CIB and other funding. The presenter said the portal will be required for projects seeking CIB or outside funding and that staff would review submissions afterward.
Next steps
Staff will hold the portal webinar in early January, continue outreach to remaining districts, and begin reviewing portal submissions to identify potential funding awards through the CIB board.
