The Board of Health was told on Sept. 16 that the Flint Road Landfill bid opening was postponed; town staff said the opening is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 18, and no board action was required at the meeting.
Board members said Bruce (town reviewer) will perform a full review of bid documents, including bonds and other required items, and may take two to three weeks to complete that review. Gary and Bruce were described as likely to present one or several recommendations to the board after they complete due diligence.
Board members discussed scheduling and agreed to tentatively plan the next meeting for Oct. 7, 6 p.m., while leaving open the option to meet sooner if Bruce’s review shows time sensitivity. The board said it will determine whether to hold a special meeting after the bids are opened and staff have had time to analyze them.
