Fox Canyon adopts Las Posas Valley annual water-right allocations for water year 2025

The Fox Canyon Groundwater Management Agency board on Sept. 24 adopted the annual water-right allocation calculations for the Las Posas Valley Basin for water year 2025 (Oct. 1, 2025–Sept. 30, 2026).
Staff presenter Farai Kasseke told the board the allocations were calculated under the formulas in Exhibit D of the LPV adjudication judgment and that the judgment sets an initial operating yield at 40,000 acre-feet. Exhibit C shows the total allocation basis was 41,851 acre-feet, which required a ramp-down to the 40,000-acre-foot operating yield used in the calculations.
