The Waukesha Plan Commission on Sept. 24 approved the final plat for Winterberry Reserve Phase 1, which plats 39 single‑family lots and three outlots within an RS‑3 PUD residential subdivision.
Doug, a city planning staff member, said the final plat closely follows the preliminary plat approved earlier this year. Phase 1 covers about 13.5 acres of a 22‑acre overall development and combines larger lots along the eastern and northern edges with smaller interior lots (roughly 4,000 to 4,500 square feet) and typical lots of about 10,000 square feet elsewhere.
Commissioners and staff confirmed that a previously identified road realignment required by engineering was incorporated into the final plat submitted to council. Fire and public-works comments regarding temporary cul‑desacs and emergency access were discussed; staff said the departments were comfortable with the temporary dead‑end arrangements given the expected timing of Phase 2 connections.
A motion to approve the final plat with all staff comments was approved unanimously.
