Mary presented the treasurer’s report for August 2025 and the board voted Sept. 22 to accept the report for filing for audit.
Mary told the board that property taxes for the period were fully received as required and that the largest intergovernmental portion for the month was E‑Rate reimbursements of $110,000 of $487,000 intergovernmental receipts. She reported interest revenue of $159,007.20 for the month and a CICF endowment grant from the foundation for the InfoZone branch of $225,000. Year‑to‑date revenue through August 2025 was reported at about $32,000,000, slightly higher than the prior year.
On expenditures, personnel services and benefits were the largest category at about $3,800,000 for the period; capital outlay was about $195,000 for furniture and materials. The treasurer explained the month included three payrolls affecting the month’s personal services totals. The board asked no substantive follow‑up questions and approved the treasurer’s report by roll call.
Separately, the board approved minutes from the Aug. 12 special meeting and the Aug. 25 regular meeting. A board member requested that the foundation report in the minutes note that Foundation President Roberta Jaggers was acknowledged by her professional organization; the maker incorporated that amendment before the roll‑call approvals.
The board also approved Resolution 41‑2025, the routine monthly confirmatory resolution covering financial, personnel and travel matters reported between meetings. The motion to approve Resolution 41‑2025 passed by roll call.
Why it matters: acceptance of the treasurer’s report and confirmatory resolution are routine board governance steps to document stewardship of revenues and expenditures and to record personnel and travel actions for the public record.
