Two residents used the public‑comment period to raise neighborhood quality‑of‑life concerns with the council.
Garrett Molineaux described frequent truck traffic around 420 South Eleventh Avenue, saying he has logged calls to the police department and was instructed by a traffic sergeant to report each illegal parking occurrence. Molineaux said the truck traffic shakes or rattles his house and that he has observed as many as 50 to 60 trucks in a 24‑hour period on Eleventh Avenue. He asked the council to address truck traffic and noted that Eleventh Avenue was omitted from a recent street survey.
Melinda Hutchins spoke on behalf of her husband and other residents who own recreational vehicles. Hutchins asked the council to consider amending the local ordinance that limits RV parking in driveways (currently a 72‑hour rule, as described) to allow residents to park trailers in their driveways for longer periods, provided the vehicles are not parked on the street, block sidewalks or sight lines, and remain registered and well maintained. Hutchins said she had collected letters from neighbors supporting the request and offered to leave them with the city clerk.
City staff did not provide a response during the public‑comment segment recorded in the transcript; the mayor pro tem asked Hutchins to leave the notes with the clerk for follow up.
