The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7-0 Sept. 23 to recommend approval of a rezoning request that would allow multifamily residential development and several modifications to standard development requirements. The recommendation will be forwarded to the City Council for a final decision on Oct. 21, 2025.
City planner Stewart Stahler summarized the applicant’s request: rezoning the site from PD to PD to permit multifamily uses, a requested reduction in the adjacency landscape buffer from 20 feet to 5 feet along portions of the eastern boundary adjacent to a utility substation and the southern/western portions near existing multifamily, and an increase in maximum density (applicant initially requested up to 33 units per acre).
