Union leaders call on Houston First to resolve Hilton Americas strike ahead of major events

Council members responded with expressions of solidarity. Councilmember Martinez said he has raised the matter with the Houston First board and that some board members showed empathy; he encouraged continued advocacy for a livable wage. Several council members publicly thanked union leaders for their advocacy and urged Houston First to negotiate.
